Delight in Juneau’s magnificent natural scenery as you join a welcoming crew onboard a waterjet-powered catamaran in search of whales and other native Alaskan wildlife. Set sail from charming harbor town Auke Bay and enjoy complimentary binoculars and snacks on the boat. Journey through picturesque Stephen’s Passage, passing islands topped with snow-capped peaks and enormous glaciers. Hear about the local wildlife behaviors, as you spot humpback and orca whales, sea lions, bald eagles, and deer.

Gold Creek Salmon Bake

After a short, narrated bus ride you’ll arrive at Salmon Creek, the outdoor site for your salmon bake. Listen to Alaska style folk music while you dine under translucent, heated domes shielding you from the elements. Enjoy an all-you-can-eat upscale, outdoor feast while being entertained with live folk musical entertainment. Savor Alaskan-caught wild salmon barbecued over an open alder wood fire served with a tasty secret sauce and accompanied by chicken parmesan, cheesy au gratin potatoes, baked beans with reindeer sausage, wild-rice pilaf, a variety of salads, cornbread, lemonade, coffee, tea, hot apple cider, hot chocolate as well as blueberry cake for dessert. Beer, wine and soda are available for purchase.

Stroll through the woods and roast marshmallows over the campfire after your meal. Take the short walk along Salmon Creek, a salmon spawning steam, to a breathtaking waterfall where you can also explore the remains of the historic Wagner Mine and try your hand at gold panning.

Gold Rush, Sled Dogs and White Pass (Train)

Get ready for an unforgettable journey of iron, gold and soft fur. Board the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad and chug up the eastern side of the White Pass to the 2,865-foot summit en route to Fraser, B.C. Upon arrival, board a motorcoach for a journey back down the west side. Then make a stop at the Klondike Gold Fields, where you will meet an Iditarod musher, the dogs and pet their puppies.

Highlights:
- White Pass & Yukon Railroad: Ascend the White Pass Summit on the fabled narrow gauge railway.
- Klondike Highway: Travel back to Skagway on one of the most scenic mountain roads in North America.
- Klondike Gold Fields: Interact with an Iditarod dog musher, his sled dogs and the adorable puppies.
