Day One

Arrive at the Cusco International Airport

Upon exiting customs, you will be met by an Adventures by Disney representative who will escort you to your transportation vehicle. Relax as the driver assists with your luggage and drives you to your first Peruvian experience.

Catered Private Lunch at The Center for Traditional Textiles of Cusco

Travel to The Center for Traditional Textiles in Chinchero, where you’ll enjoy a delicious spread of traditional Peruvian dishes in the great outdoors.

Weaving Demonstration at The Center for Traditional Textiles of Cusco

Explore this women’s co-op, started to preserve the tradition of weaving. In a private demonstration, master weavers practice their intricate art as well as spin and dye alpaca wool. Fine textiles woven in the distinct patterns of different villages are available for purchase at the center's friendly shop.

Check-In at Tambo del Inka, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Valle Sagrado

This peaceful hotel is nestled in the Sacred Valley under the breathtakingly beautiful Andean mountains. Considered the heartland of the Incan Empire, the Sacred Valley is fertile farmland formed by the Urubamba River and spotted with old colonial villages and ancient Incan ruins. Raft Trip Down the Urubamba River

Enjoy the view and hold onto your hat as you raft down the Urubamba River (Class I – Class III rapids). The experienced guides explain the fascinating cultural and natural history as you glide along this scenic route. Junior Adventures under 7 years of age—or those who are in the mood for something mellower—can participate in an engaging Seminario-style pottery class during this time.

Savor a Pachamanca farm lunch made from fresh ingredients cooked in a traditional “earth oven,” while taking in the magnificent scenery of Ollantaytambo.

Tour the ruins of the former royal estate, citadel and temple of the Incan Emperor Pachacuti—who conquered the region, razed the original town and built a new one using magnificent masonry, extensive terracing and irrigation systems. Watch the sun gradually emerge and cloak Machu Picchu and its surrounding beauty with light. Then, spend the rest of the morning exploring the fascinating Incan ruins with your Private Adventure Guide. You may even see llamas peacefully grazing among the terraces. Keep in mind that this amazing hike is at a high altitude and requires climbing and descending steep, uneven stairs.

Lunch at Sanctuary Lodge

Join your Private Adventure Guide for a lunch at this eco-friendly property, the only hotel located next to the ancient Incan site. The Sanctuary Lodge is known for its stunning views and innovative dishes.

Return to Machu Picchu or Enjoy Activities at the Hotel

Be sure to discuss your afternoon game plan with your Vacationista prior to departure.
