For those on a budget, the All Star Music Resort is a fun, affordable option. The All Star Music themes are Country, Broadway, Jazz, Rock and Calypso.

What's unique about the All Star Music is that in addition to the standard and preferred rooms, they also have fantastic Family Suites that can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests. These suites have a kitchenette and two full bathrooms making them the perfect choice for families of 5 to 6 who are looking for Disney Magic without spending a bundle.

Where else can you walk through a neon-lit jukebox or a giant Broadway theatre marquee? Other giant pop art icons featured here are a 3-story high pair of cowboy boots (size 270 no less!), a conga drum shaped stairwell and trombone playing silhouettes on the roof line.

At Country Fair, you’ll find truck cutouts lining the roof tops and those giant boots with harmonicas, fiddles, banjos and bolo ties thrown in for good measure.

The Broadway buildings are adorned with top hats (size 125), musical notes and an enormous show marquee that features “Beauty and the Beast”.

The aforementioned trombone and saxophone playing silhouettes appear along the rooftops of the Jazz Inn buildings where sunglasses wrap around musical staffs. An oversized set of drums completes the decor.

Guests of the Rock Inn will find records lining the railings of the upper stories and giant speakers, microphones, amplifiers and a giant neon-lit jukebox around this area. Sometimes you may spot a 1957 Chevy Bel Air coupe automobile parked here.

The theme of the islands abounds at the Calypso where the buildings are decorated with exotic birds, giant maracas and banana leaves. Each area has two 3-story buildings and 384 guest rooms.

In the main building, Melody Hall, you will find the check-in area, Guest Services, food court, gift shop and arcade. The large gold star found out in front weighs more than 55,000 pounds.

Rumor has it that if you check out the musical notes on the curtains and wallpaper in the rooms, you can play "Name that Tune"!

Finding your way around: As you travel along West Buena Vista Drive, the second of the All Star Resorts that you encounter, is the All Star Music Resort. The lobby building, called Melody Hall, houses the front desk, Guest Services, the Intermission Food Court, Note’able Games and the Maestro Mickey’s gift shop.

The first buildings you come to as you exit Melody Hall is the Calypso section. The main swimming pool, Calypso Pool, is located between these buildings. As you continue past the Calypso section, you reach the Jazz Inn. Once you pass the Jazz Inn, you will find Rock Inn to the right; Country Fair directly in back and the Broadway section is to the left.

NOTE: This resort's "preferred" section is "Calypso." This area is closest to transportation, the food court, feature swimming pool and main building. Rooms in this area are higher priced.

All Star Music Resort Dining

There is no full serve sit down restaurant at the All Star Music Resort, but there is the 550 seat Intermission Food Court. Drawings of such timeless performers as Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly grace the walls here. Pizza, pasta, sandwiches, hamburgers, rotisserie chicken, barbecue ribs, baked goods, fruit, kids' favorites (macaroni and cheese, chicken fingers) and "Blue Plate" specials are the featured fare here. Hours are usually from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Room service is limited to pizza, salads, soft drinks and beer, and this may be ordered from 5 p.m. to midnight.
All Star Music Resort Pools/Recreation

The All Star Music Resort has two pools. The Calypso pool is the main pool and is shaped like a guitar complete with the Three Caballeros shooting water from a post in the middle of the pool. The quiet pool is shaped like a baby grand piano with the deck providing the keyboard, and is aptly named the Piano pool. There are showers and change rooms at each of these pool areas. There is a children’s wading pool, but not a jacuzzi here.

TIP: Bring your towels from your room, as pool towels are not available here. You can replenish your supply of towels in your room by calling Housekeeping.

If you don’t get enough exercise touring the parks, you can use the jogging path found at the resort. Video game enthusiasts will enjoy the Note'able Games video arcade found in Melody Hall. Between buildings 9 and 10, children will be able to expend some energy at the children's playground found there.
