The Silver Creek Springs Pool appears to be "spring fed" from the hot spring originating in the lobby. Afternoon recreational water activities are offered daily. Lifeguards are on duty here from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and the pool is open from 7 a.m. to midnight. Swimming aids are allowed only in the shallow end of the pool. A water slide, kiddie pool and two spas, (one is hot and the other cooler), are found in the main pool area. In the cooler season, the pool is heated to 82º. Towels are provided at the pool to the right of the Trout Pass poolside bar. There is a sandy beach on the shore of Bay Lake, but swimming there is limited to a roped off wading area.
Guests can explore Bay Lake on their own, by renting watercraft such as water "mice", canopy boats, or pontoon boats. Or have someone else do the driving and give you a tour via a fireworks cruise. Other recreational options are bicycle rentals, fishing trips for adults and children, volleyball, jogging or walking. There is a ¾- mile path that starts at Disney's Teton Boat & Bike Rental and runs between Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. Rollerblading and skateboarding are allowed on the path. But guests are asked to kindly remove their rollerblades before entering the pool or lobby area. Looking for a fun activity that is not physically taxing? Ask at Guest Services or the Front Desk for the Hidden Mickey hunt list and start your quest. A playground is found near the Teton Boat & Bike Rental and video games enthusiasts will enjoy those found in the Roaring Fork Snacks and Arcade.
Celebrating a birthday? Birthday parties are offered that include activities, lunch on the beach, birthday cake and beverages, a group photo of those at the party, decorations and prizes. The party is 2 hours in length and the cost is $20 per participant (subject to change). If you wanted to include hayrides, pony rides or water mouse excursions, you can do so for an additional fee. Call 407-WDW-PLAY to book.
