Natural
Wonders of Aruba (Approximately 2 1/2 - 3 hours)
From
your cruise ship's dock you will board an air
conditioned motorcoach which will take you on
a scenic trip to Aruba's #1 ecological attraction:
"The Butterfly Farm." Here you will
be able to observe the lifecycle of these beautiful
insects from eggs to caterpillar, to chrysalis,
to butterfly. Your tour guide will fill you in
on all of the details and miracles of this fascinating
animal's metamorphosis. From here it's on to another
natural wonder the "Ayo Rock Formation."
The Ayo Rocks are large boulders that depict the
origin of Aruba and it's past history of volcanic
activity. After that you will be taken to Atuba's
natural land bridge. The bridge rises 25 feet into
the air and it is made of solid coral which the
pounding surf has carved into this formation which
spans 100 feet of rushing water. The rest of the
tour consists of a trip to the Gold Mill Ruins
at Boca Mahos where you will have the chance to
explore them, and a final stop in Aruba's capital
city: Oranjestad. Here you can choose to do some
shopping or return to your cruise ship.
*Note:
If you choose to do shopping in Oranjestad after
the tour you will be responsible for your return
to the ship. Some of the stops may not be fully
wheelchair accessible.
