Xcaret
Eco-Archaeological park is one of the most precious
and unique of it's kind in the Americas. You will
board a bus right from the pier and take a 10
minute ride to the park. Xcaret has a number of
activities for you to choose from incluiding a
museum of Mayan cities, two underground rivers,
an archaeological zone, and auarium, butterfly
pavillion and a bird breeding aviary. You will
also get the chance to encounter some of the ancient
Mayan rituals re-enacted later in the afternoon
(just about the time the sun sets). Watch the
Mayan ball game, an ancient sport tied into their
religious beliefs commence an evening of wonderous
performances. The evening climaxes with a grand
performance in an open air theater where some
of the country's best folkloric musicians and
dancers are showcased.
