"Beat
Street" Entertainment District- Disney

that of Rout 66 except the look of some
of the clubs is different. Here you will
find Sessions, Off-Beat, and Rockin' Bar
D.

Sessions is the Disney Magic's
equivalent to the Disney Wonder's Cadillac
Lounge. The lounge has a very sophisticated
ambiance with an Art Deco theme and trimmed
in colors like burgundy and purple. It opens
at 1:00pm and you can find plush chairs
and couches to lounge on, over-sized portholes
which give a spectacular view of the ocean
and headphone "music stations"
where you can choose from a large selection
of cd's to listen to and relax. Children
under the age of 18 are not allowed in this
lounge.
Diversions - A
place for adult cruisers to enjoy a cocktail,
play games and even enjoy a televised sporting
event on one of the many large screen TV's.
This friendly 'pub like' atmosphere comes
complete with comfortable seating and tabletop
board games that invite cruisers to kick-back
and have some fun.
Rockin'
Bar D
is located on deck 3 forward and is one of
the two dance club on the ship. During your
cruise you can do everything from dance contests
to see a comedy/ventriloquist show. Most of
the entertainment is family oriented but you
will find a couple of shows that have an age
restriction of 18+.
Studio Sea can be found on both ships
and is situated on deck 4 mid-ship. You can
bring the whole family in for "Family
Karaoke" or compete in a dance contest,
join the crew for a "Meet the Crew"
party, or see a comedy show. This bar plays
host to a number of fun and exciting activities
which is sure to satisfy everyone's taste.
Located
mid-ship on deck 3 on both the Disney Magic
and the Disney Wonder you can find The
Promenade Lounge. The Promenade lounge
is spacious and has a classy atmosphere, accented
by flamed wood grain panels and large porthole
views. You can catch lounge acts performing
in the evenings, and on the Disney Magic you
can catch the Walt Disney Theater troupe giving
impromptu performances of their favorite Broadway
musical show tunes (a refreshing break from
the norm). During the day it fosters a quiet,
relaxed feeling where you can catch the news
on any one of a number of tv sets and enjoy
drinks and complimentary snacks with friends
and family.

Internet
Cafe
Located
on Deck 3 (near the Promenade Lounge) is the
Internet Cafe. This group of 16 terminals provides
high-speed access to the internet via the ships
on-board satellite system. The cost of access
is either $0.75 per minute or a flat fee of
$89.99 for the duration of your cruise (7 nights).
From here, you can access just about any web
site, send a photo-postcard to a friend (or
to yourself), as well as send & receive
email through any web-based email account. The
cafe is open 24 hours a day.
If you
think you're going to spend more than 20 minutes
a day checking emails or surfing the web, then
the unlimited plan is perfect.
HOW
IT WORKS
The system
is very easy to use. The first time you use
it, you will enter the first initial of your
name along with your last name and stateroom
number. This becomes your user name. So, if
your John Smith in room 8068, your user name
is jsmith8068. At the time you first sign up,
your password will be your birth date (keeping
in mind that Disney has every passengers birth
date as it's mandatory information for booking
a cruise). After you enter it the first time,
you will be required to change it to something
else.
At the
end of each session, you will receive a print
out of your activity and the cost for that session.
As with everything else on-board, all costs
associated with the Internet Cafe are charged
back to your stateroom.
WHAT
ABOUT EMAIL:
You have
two options when it comes to email. You can
use a web based email account(like DISMail),
or you can use an email account that is created
for you when you first log on using the Internet
Cafe. Your email address becomes your first
initial, last name & cabin number, followed
by @magic.cruisemail.net So, if you're John
Smith in cabin 8068, your email address would
be jsmit8068@magic.cruisemail.net Please keep
in mind that all per minute charges apply while
you are composing your emails, and there is
also an additional $3,95 fee for each email
you send (using the cruisemail.net account),
and a fee of $4.95 per video email.
