Dining
The
Disney Cruise Line® boasts a unique approach to Cruise
Dining. The rotational dining system allows guests to enjoy each
of the three themed restaurants available on board each ship. Animators
Palate, Parrot Cay, and Lumiere's (Magic) or Triton's (Wonder).
In addition, special dining evenings and events have been added
just for the 7-day cruise!
When you arrive in your stateroom, you will find tickets with your
assigned seating time, restaurant schedule and table number. That
will follow you for the duration of your cruise. On your first night,
you will be introduced to your Server and Assistant Server (they
will follow you from restaurant to restaurant each evening as well).
Main seating is at 6:00 pm, second seating is at 8:30 pm.
One note: be sure and request your preferred seating time
and table size when you make your cruise reservation. DCL will do
their best to accommodate you; if for some reason you don't get
what you want, there is a time and place listed on your Personal
Navigator on Embarkation Day where you can make dining change requests.
On the 7-day cruise, you'll dine in each in each of the three themed
restaurants at least once. On the 3-day cruise you will have the
opportunity to dine in each restaurant once, plus adults 18 and
older may make reservations for Palo, an adults-only restaurant
on Deck 10. Keep in mind that if you make a dinner reservation at
Palo's while on board the 3-day cruise you will miss the opportunity
to dine at one of the restaurants in the regular dining rotation.
Here's a brief description of each of the restaurants:
Animator's Palate: This innovative restaurant transforms
itself from black and white to full color as your meal progresses!
Scenes from classic Disney films adorn the walls, and as each course
is served colors are added to the scenes. Be prepared for a fun
and festive surprise end to your meal.
Parrot Cay: With island-themed décor, this brightly-colored
restaurant gives diners a taste of the Caribbean. Lush palms, tropical
birds and beautiful murals give diners the feel of eating in their
own bit of island paradise.
Lumiere's: Named after the candelabra from Disney's Beauty
and the Beast, this elegant restaurant features fine dining in a
stately yet comfortable room, complete with a mural from the movie
and large windows on each side of the room. Jackets for men are
suggested in this restaurant.
Triton's: The Disney Wonder's equivalent of Lumiere's and
themed after Disney's Little Mermaid. Jackets for men are suggested
in this restaurant.
Palo: With its 270- degree ocean view from high atop the
ship on Deck 10, Palo has the loveliest vista of all restaurants
on the ship. Reservations are required at this adults only locale
which features Northern Italian cuisine prepared to order.
Because your server does not follow you to this restaurant, a $10.00
cover charge per person is applied. This warm, inviting and QUIET
restaurant is very popular and is a must-do at least once for adults
on the 7-day cruise. Dinner is served each evening on both the
Magic and Wonder. Champagne Brunch is offered on the days at sea
($10.00 cover) and High Tea is offered on the Magic on sea days
for $5.00. A dress code is in effect. No shorts or jeans please,
with jackets requested for gentlemen at dinner.
Breakfast/Lunch Dining Options
Guests can choose from buffets served at the Topsider's buffet on
the Magic or Beach Blanket Buffet on the Wonder. Full
service will be available at designated restaurants for breakfast
and lunch. There is open seating at these meals, meaning you
can eat in any restaurant and at any table you choose. Complimentary
soft drinks are available at both the buffets and restaurants,
as well as coffee, tea, iced tea, milk and juices. 24-hour room
service is also available.
Counter Service Options
For quick and easy fast food, Pinocchio's Pizzeria and Pluto's
Dog House serve pizza and hot dogs, burgers, etc. at various times
each day. To satisfy your sweet tooth, Scoops offers up ice cream,
fruit and cookies throughout the day. There is also a
self-serve beverage station offering soft drinks, iced tea, water,
milk, lemonade hot tea and coffee located on deck 9.
