TOMORROWLAND

Debuting in 1998, the "new" Tomorrowland represents the vision and fantasy of futurists such as H.G. Wells, Jules Verne and Leonardo da Vinci. Guests can zoom through Space Mountain, zip above the land in the new Rocket Rods, experience 3-D fun in "Honey I Shrunk the Audience", travel through the galaxy in Star Tours, and much more!

ATTRACTIONS

ASTRO ORBITER - Climb aboard your rocket ship and zoom through space in this orbiting ride. You can control whether your ship rises or falls as you complete your circular tour. Guests in wheelchairs must transfer to ride.

AUTOPIA (coming Summer 2000) - Autopia is currently closed for remodeling, and is expected to open this summer with all new cars and a new, longer raceway!

COSMIC WAVES - This "dancing waters" fountain is a favorite cooling spot for kids on hot days.

Disneyland Ò MONORAIL - Travel above and through the park on this elevated train to and from the Disneyland Ò Hotel. During the construction period for Disney's California Adventure, this ride may not be operational or may be making one-way stops only. Wheelchair accessible.

"HONEY, I SHRUNK THE AUDIENCE" - This 3-D film takes you to the Imagination Institute where Professor Wanye Zelinski is being honored for his scientific achievements. Mayhem ensues when he demonstrates his shrinking machine! Be warned - some special effects here are quite realistic, and those with a fear of mice or snakes should think twice before viewing! This attraction is wheelchair accessible; reflective captioning, assistive-listening devices available; and video-captioning available in select pre-show areas (ask a Cast Member for details).

INNOVENTIONS -  Housed in the old Carousel of Progress building, Innoventions features a variety of walk-through and interactive exhibits. You first meet Tom Morrow, your pre-show host, who tells you more about what you'll see. You enter in one of four areas (since the building still revolves you never know which area you'll enter first). Once inside, you can explore both stories filled with live presentations and fast-paced activities. This attraction is wheelchair accessible, assistive listening devices and video-captioning available in select pre-show areas (ask a Cast Member for details).

ROCKET RODS - Using the old People Mover track, Rocket Rods jet riders throughout Tomorrowland. You'll zip and pop wheelies as you sharply accelerate and decelerate through the ride. Although this ride has the fastest speeds of any Disneyland Ò attraction, it really does not feel that way as the pace quickens and slows so suddenly throughout the attraction.  Minimum height to ride is 46 inches. Guests in wheelchairs must transfer to ride. Guests with back, neck or heart problems, pregnant women, or those affected by motion sickness should not ride.

TIP: Like Test Track at EPCOT, this ride features a single rider's line! If you are willing to be split up from your party to ride (and it definitely does NOT lessen your ride experience to do so) once you enter the main building from the queue a Cast Member will give you a special pass. You then enter through the gift shop, up the back staircase to the ride, for the special single riders loading area. This will save you TONS of time and is highly recommend to avoid a long wait!

SPACE MOUNTAIN - This white-knuckler coaster twists and turns in near-total darkness and features a computerized sound system with a soundtrack perfectly choreographed for your ride! You'll zoom past stars, meteors and comets during this deep-space adventure.  Minimum height to ride 40 inches. Guests in wheelchairs must transfer to ride. Video-captioning available in selected pre-show portions (see a Cast Member for details.) Guests with back, neck or heart problems, pregnant women, or those affected by motion sickness should not ride.

TIP: Space Mountain features FAST PASS. Use it to avoid long waits.

STARCADE - This large video arcade is a favorite of teens. Wheelchair accessible.

STAR TOURS - Get ready for your trip to the Moon of Endor, but beware - it may just be your pilot's first trip! This popular motion simulator ride based on the movie Star Wars will make you feel as if you're really a passenger on this starship as it dodges giant ice crystals, fights of invaders and travels in warp speed! Not to worry, somehow you do make it back safely.  Minimum height to ride is 40 inches. Guests in wheelchairs must transfer to ride. Video-captioning available in selected pre-show portions (see a Cast Member for details.) Guests with back, neck or heart problems, pregnant women, or those affected by motion sickness should not ride.
