Now owned by Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruise Lines falls into the category of "up-market". Celebrity offers a variety of cruise itineraries, ranging from the Caribbean to Alaska, Canada, the Mediterranean, Hawaii and the South Pacific.

The Celebrity ships offer the traditional cruise atmosphere and style and a well blended mixture of sophistication and ultra-modern design. While Celebrity caters more to a slightly older crowd, they do offer some good children's programming during busy periods. Also, since the crowd tends to be a little older, and the line is considered "up-scale", these tend to be more formal cruises.

The best value aboard Celebrity ships, as on most of the up-market lines, is with the standard range of cabins and especially the inside ones (although you might want to avoid those aft cabins on Zenith's Europa deck during busy vacation periods as the children's playroom is situated here).
