Princess Cruise Lines

While many people remember Princess Cruise Lines from the "Love Boat" television series of the early 70's, those who have cruised on her ships know her better for being some of the most luxurious and spacious ships afloat. The Grand Princess, for instance, is more of a floating apartment building, easily dwarfing many of the other ships that she is in port with. The size, however, does not take away from a very intimate and personal experience (something Princess is known for on all of their ships).

With their main focus being the Caribbean, Alaska and Europe, Princess offers a greater level of formality than many other cruise lines. The line also offers a wide variety of cruise durations, ranging from 2 day cruises (West Coast on the Ocean Princess) to 30 day African Cruises on the Royal Princess (and with prices for outside staterooms starting at less than $5,000 per person, the 30 cruise is not such a bad deal). The 7 day cruises are the more popular, and offer excellent options for families and children.

The Royal Princess has a surprisingly small cinema and, for the more popular films, you should arrive early to ensure a seat. Don't expect to find an array of energetic daytime events, as she concentrates on providing a more relaxed atmosphere for her passengers.
